Scanning 101: "Raster-To-Vector" (R to V) Conversion

The scanning software enables a Raster (black & white artwork)
or bitmap image (TIF, PCX, JPG, GIF, BMP)
to be converted to a Vector (outline) which is required for cutting on a vinyl cutter.

If the artwork is good quality, it can be scanned at about 150 dpi
and converted to an outline using the software and
it will be ready to cut with little or no editing.

If the original artwork is poor, the software has some very powerful editing tools.
You can square up corners, straighten lines & smooth curves quickly and easily.
